Weekday Wardrobe Organization

Just for fun, I thought I might post this. It has nothing to do with scrapbooking, but to do with organizing weekday wardrobe before the week. I saw this idea in a magazine (Redbook? Real Simple? Can't recall) last year and finally found time to do it. Basically, the idea is to pick out the week's daily ensemble before hand, including tops and bottoms, accessories, belts and what nots, so as to avoid the early morning rush - I'm always running late and not being able to find that matching this or that, so this really helps!

These tags were made in photoshop, printed and cut out, punched holes and attached ribbons, and used to mark out each day's outfits by sunday night. The envelope is for keeping the tags in each day as they are used. And there it is, my organised weekday wardrobe. :)

Thought someone may find this useful too, download the jpeg here.
Do share how you avoid the weekday rush?

  1. Thanks for sharing. That really is a great idea. I only have 2 weeks left of work before having the summer off, but I definitely will use this idea in the fall. I've been trying to work on jazzing up my outfits. This should help me. And Happy Mother's Day!! {it is here in the US}

  3. Those tags are really cute! I just pick out what I'm going to wear the night before. I don't know if I could do a full week in advance. I would probably change my mind. :) Sometimes I mentally plan ahead if I know of a special activity or something, but usually, it's just the night before. I have a laundry schedule and (try to) wash loads on the same day each week. I downloaded an app that's been helping me. It's called Errands, and I set it up to remind me to put the load of the day in the washer and then move it to the dryer and then put it away. I tried to just have it remind me to "do" the load of the day, but I kept leaving clothes in the washer or in the dryer and never getting all the way done. Ha! Anyway... sort of a laundry tangent there, but it goes with planning the weekly wardrobe (I think). :)
