More Dailiness Moments

Thanks everyone for your support and wonderful comments in the last post, I feel so blessed! And best of all, convinced that I'm actually helping gals like myself scrapbook your memories and capture more of them quickly and beautifully. I'm honored! And makes it all so worthwhile! :) Thanks too for visiting the store and the sale, sale ends in two days, a big THANK YOU once again!

I've been taking a break from travel layouts and wanting to catch up on capturing moments from our dailiness (see last post). Since deciding not to do the 365 project this year, I've taken significantly less photos (gasp!) and dh and I are thinking we're missing something here. (sob!) I have been jotting down stories & moments that I want to scrap, but some are 'pictureless' :(  But whatever, I am determined to add them to my scrapbooks!

Like, just yesterday, I had one of these moments, when I was at our shared computer, and Ryan wanted to play games on it, while waiting for me, I let him (or he let me) snuggle and sit on my lap (he was heavy) for long enough while I got him to watch Katrina's video (see last post) with me !!!!!! PRICELESS. I think he understood and felt some of the sentiments she was talking about, that these are how I feel as I watch him grow up. At the point in the video where she talks about her sons leaving home for college, I gasped as I remembered Ryan will have a year of boarding in Year 5 (he's in year 1 now) - to which he calmly replied, "Mom don't worry, I'll be back in year 6." I hugged him tight and wanted to say that being back in year 6 doesn't help the fact that you're going to be away for the whole of year 5(!) but simply thought, how steady and independent he has become. :) No photos for this moment, but need to capture!!

Happily, I did these two layouts this week - in the simple linear style which is so much easier and faster (did not make templates of them since they are so simple, but if you like to have them, let me know)
It's Ryan learning how to tie his school tie from his dad, and then Jared also wanting to get into the action (doing the men thing) I just loved watching them....

Have you been capturing your daily moments? Link us to some of your layouts!

And now thanks to Rheanne I realised that Templates 146 & 147 (which were contributions to The Digi Files 8 of Oct 2009) were not packaged for the store. I must have forgotten.
This template is now available as a set in the store HERE

  3. I love your templates. They are clean and simple and you can fit many pictures on them. I take a ton of pictures so a layout w/ just one picture is almost a waste of time for me since I have so little time to scrapbook w/ anyway. Thank you so much for your templates as they make scrapping a little easier and let me get done more in the time I have.

  18. I just wanted to say I love your layouts. I've gone all the way to before Christmas. You have inspired me to create some double page layouts (I'm intimidated by those) and order them in a photobook.

Thanks for sharing your world and your work.

  24. Thank you for all your free templates!! I visited the sale this weekend and I think I bought all of them from the store that I hadn't purchased last year...loved the coupon! I think I got at least 40 new templates. I've been using them to scrapbook my niece's first year of life, which I'm printing into a 12x12 book at Shutterfly (well, realisticly it will probably be 2 volumes!).

Yours was the first template I ever tried. Made getting into digi scrapping super easy! Somedays when I have nothing to do I can finish a layout (sometimes 2) during naptime at school. As I revive my blog, I'll try to upload some of the pages I've completed. Thanks again! And may God bless you richly :)

  28. Thank you SO MUCH for your fabulous free templates. I am a stay at home mom, so time and money can be a challenge to find.

I recently started working on a scrapbook for my son. There is no way I would be nearly as far on it as I am if it wasn't for you. Your templates have been the core that has gotten me through.

I can't wait to get it finished, and I cannot thank you enough. You have done half the work (or more!) Keep up the marvelous work.

  29. I'm a new digi scrapper after years of paper, and one of my digi friends (okay, my only digi friend! :) ) referred me to your site. THANK YOU for the fabulous templates and info!! I very often scrapped 2-pgers in paper, but hadn't found many 2-pg templates for digi. I look forward to working with your templates. Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing!! :) Blessings to you!

  30. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into sharing you talent with all of us. Your templates are great, your pages are wonderfully scrapped, and I am sure you and your family will enjoy them for years to come.

I am relatively new to digi-scrapping but wanted to link over to my gallery of life moments. Like you I want my little girl to be able to look back at memories she can't necessarily remember and still know what happened...if that makes sense.

My everyday layouts are located at: https://scrappindigikreations.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=580

  34. Hi Yin! I just found your blog yesterday when I was browsing around on digiscrapdepot and found your templates. Finally, MY kind of scrapper! I would never get anywhere with layouts that have space for 1 photo per page - I take way too many photos! Thanks so much for your freebies and sharing your layouts, what a blessing!

  37. Thank you for those lovely templates!

It's so hard to watch our children grow up. My 10yo son told us he would be going away to college. I said, "You're going to leave me?" He said, "Mom, I'm supposed to leave home when I go to college." *sigh*

  38. Thank you very much! I really appreciate you sharing these templates with us!

I just wanted to point out that on your layout of "Only Daddy can" that it says 50% Techer. I don't know if you meant it to be that way or if it is supposed to be Teacher. Just wanted to let you know in case you missed it. And if you didn't miss it, then ok then. :) Thanks again!
